Inside My Wellness Journey: Long-Term Habits & Current Favorites
Hi Wuji Friends!
I wanted to share some of my current health and wellness favorites, along with the practices I’ve been consistent with—some for months, others for decades. Here’s a look at what’s been supporting me lately:
Long-Term Wellness Habits
Mindful Eating:
I’ve always prioritized clean, high-quality food. Even when I'm not eating “perfectly,” everything in our home is intentionally sourced and minimally processed.
Water Consciousness:
My clean water journey began at 19 when I first tried Acqua Panna and fell in love. Ever since, I’ve been mindful of the water I drink—our bodies are mostly water, so quality matters.
Skincare Routine:
I’ve been using Biossance for the past 4 years. Their clean, effective ingredients really work for my skin.
Energy & Balance (NET):
For over 20 years, I’ve worked with NET – Neuro Emotional Technique practitioners to help keep my body in homeostasis and release stagnant energy.
What’s New This Year
Nutritional Therapy Program:
I’m halfway through a 1-year certification program. It’s been deepening my understanding of food, function, and healing from within.
Qigong Teacher Training:
After five years of on and off practice, I began formal Qigong training.
I’m now working toward 200 hours to become certified—taking it slow and letting it fully integrate through body, mind, and energy.
Dr. Joe Dispenza Retreat (March):
I attended a retreat with Dr. Joe Dispenza and meditated daily for almost three months afterward.
It brought a surge of willpower and shifted me into action—things I used to resist, I now do with ease and intention.
Rediscovering Gut Health:
I revisited the work of Dr. Zach Bush and started taking ION* Gut Support a couple weeks ago. This supplement helps improve your gut health by supporting the balance of good bacteria and reducing inflammation. A healthy gut means better digestion, more energy, and overall improved wellbeing.
Pilgrimage Tea Ritual:
For three weeks, I began each morning with Pilgrimage Tea as part of my meditation and stillness practice. The best part of it was that it was fermented tea. It deepened my sense of presence—and led me to enroll in a 2-day, 7-hour tea brewing course. Tea has become a beautiful new teacher.
