Tao Te Ching #7: Heaven and Earth Last Forever

Heaven and earth last forever. Why do heaven and earth last forever? They are unborn. So ever living. The wise stay behind, and are thus ahead. They are detached, thus at one with all. Through selfless action, they attain fulfillment.

Language can be playful, mysterious, and full of hidden insights—sometimes even in the simplest of words. Take the word “wolf.” At first glance, it evokes the wild: strength, independence, cunning, and the beauty of nature’s untamed spirit. But when you spell it backwards, something remarkable appears: “flow.”

It’s almost poetic. And it makes you pause: what can a wolf teach us about flow in our own lives?
